Forgive me if this is an easy problem. I have created and burned a number of VCD's using TMPGEnc 2.02 (have tried 1.2a) and Nero (latest 5.5 version) using mainly the information found on this site. The MPG conversions from AVI perform flawlessly on a computer (no jerkiness, great PQ, and good sound). The VCD all are able to be read by the GE dvd player, and 80-90% play fine. 10% of the time the video playback goes into fast forward, and the words become out of sync with the audio which has played fine. The two playback will sync up within a minute of jerky video. (No problem exist on the computer playback of the same sequence)
I am using Pinoy2201 NTSCFilm VCD template as well as the straight NTSCFilm VCD template in TMPGEnc (with the recommended settings from this site). Using both methods these 10% playback happen on the DVD player. I am burning with Nero and the compliance check on.
This is not a huge problem since for the most part the VCD plays correctly. It is still somewhat annoying. Is this a problem with the DVD player itself or does the problem lie elsewhere (TMPGenc or Nero settings)?
