    How can I import an m2v file to Adobe After effects 6.5?
    There is any plug-in that I can install so I will be able to import m2v files?

    Convert it to DV, work on it in AE, then encode back to .m2v afterwards. If only need to use a small section, use an mpeg cutter to get just the bit you need, convert that, then drop it back in afterwards.
