I use my MyHD MDP-130 to record HDTV in a .tp file. I then use HDTVtoMPEG2 to edit out commercials and save as a .ts file. I then have to use Nero Express to convert it over to a mpg2 file to play on my Hauppauge Media MVP.
This is a pain in the ***. Is there any easier way to do this? I have tried using HDTV2Mpeg2 and save as an mpg, but the Media MVP doesn't like it.
I have tried video re-do, but it's not a true re-encoder program.
I ultimately would like to accoplish this task in less steps and faster if possible.
I need to get the .tp file to a mpg 1 or mpg2, and convert the audio (but not into PCM audio).
Is there a better way? Please help.

All I use is Womble's Mpeg Video Wizard (http://www.womble.com/) to edit and save my HD captures as MPEG-2 and it works great.

Thanks.
The solution I came up with is... WHY EDIT? I am buying a JVC SRDVD-100U.
Now I can stream the .tp or .ts files right away without converstion.
