I have taken out each title with dvd shrink then used TMPGEnc and add eash title individually, then edit, created a menu and soutputed to HDD. The movie is still to larger of dvd+r and now I want to shrink it with dvd2one.

I have dvd2one V1.4.0. I have used this many times for movie only back ups and used the constant ratio. My question is what would I use for a cartoon sereis dvd?

    Full disc or movie only?
    Constant or variable?

Why'd you have to do all that? You just could have edited out/resized the extras with DVDshrink, keeping the original DVDs menu so you did not have to create your own menu.

Also did you know you could take out needless repeated episode intros/ending credits, to save on more space? Pretty easy for me with dvdremakepro.

From what i've heard and from my own experience, variable is always the best option regardless if its movies, toons,or episode shows.

Variable was also the very first compression engine on DVD2One,with constant added later on. Pretty sure the latest version of DVD2One only uses variable compression and does not include the option for the constant engine anymore.

And full disc or movie? I always do full-disc as the menus are cool and do not take up much space anyway(you could even downsize the menus in shrink if you wanted).

Well now that I think of it I'll answer my own question.

Well since you just spent an hour using shrink to take out the titles you wanted, then built yourself a dvd with a quality menu. You probabaly want to do a Full disc, so you can kepp the menu YOU RETARD!!

Any ideas on the Constant vs Variable Compression Mode?

I thought once you used dvdshrink you automatically lost the menu if you edited the dvd?

No. In full-disc mode for DVDshrink you can still remove or downsize extras.

Its only in re-author mode that the menus are lost.Which i rarely use.

Cool. But like i said, its a breeze to remove or downsize excess junk in DVDShrink and keep the original menus along with the rest of the disc.

Also make sure to download the latest DVDshrink if you hav'ent already.
