  1. hi all i ripped a dvd using dvd decrypter and than used autogordiansknot to convert it to an avi. i now want to convert it to vcd using tmpgenc but i cant because tmpgenc wont take the audio so i download besweet and belight but they will only take the ac3 audio and i don't know how to extract the audio as i have already tried it using virtualdubmod and tried to save the audio stream as wav and i have also tried to demux it but both have failed help would be greatly appreciated. tanxs

Can I ask why you've gone anywhere near AVI if VCD is your intended output format ? It's a redundant step, using your time and hard drive resources much more than they need to be, is all.

Better off IMHO to use EazyVCD (which use TMPGEnc anyway) to rip and convert in the one "step".
    If in doubt, Google it.

http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/ExtractAudio.htm might assist (don't use virtualdubmod, use another variant).
    If in doubt, Google it.

use vobedit instead to demux the audio stream .

Open first vob of title , choose demux , sellect audio to strip , choose demux complete title set , and go , your done .

Virtualmod requires a specifically writen script , so it can concat the files one after the other , something similar to avisynth scripts using directshow inputs .

    Dvd to avi or vcd

    Use dvdx2.3 www.labdv.com/dvdx , dose both and more .

ReJig is also good (and easy to use) for demuxing DVD streams.
