    So I just got this program because I heard it's better than dvdshrink for compression, but I can't figure it out. The guides I found here were'nt very helpful either( when it was explaining set up my program didn't match all that it was saying.
    Quite simply, I just want to back up a 7.9 gb dvd on a single layer while keeping all the audio streams.
    Also I have dvd dycrypter, is that all I need? It seemed like the guide was talking about another 3rd program I needed.
    By the way, it's the free version, not the pro. Thanks

  3. You will need avisynth installed on your computer. Try version 256. You can download it here;
    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/avisynth2/Avisynth_256.exe?download

    If you plan to use CCE of PROCODER you will need those installed. You can also use the built in encoder Quenc which gives great results. Try this guide for setting up Rebuilder and using it;

  4. IIRR The DVD-Rebuilder installer installs Avisynth

    I would read the guides i linked to as the one mentioned by laddydaddy is pretty old, as it says DVD-RB has no installer, it has, and has had one for a while now.

    Yes, it does install Avisynth automatically. The installer will also ask him what encoder he plans on using and will setup DVDRB accordingly.

    I believe you're seeing the CCE logo on the screen because you're probably using a trial version of CCE. As far as how long it took, that is normal. It isn't going to run as quick as DVD Shrink or other transcoders because you're actually re-encoding the video.(not transcoding) Most people let DVDRB run over night and use the batch mode. The batch mode will allow you to queue up multiple DVDRB projects and have them run thru the night or while you're at work or school.(Batch mode might only be available in the Pro version.. can't remember)

    Well the quality was real good & that's a good idea running it at night so as not to tie up the computer.
    I went & got a reg version of cce so maybe that will fix the logo problem. Thanks for the help ! I'll let you know tomorrow how it worked!!

    Well I succesfully backed up the disc with no logo! Thanks for the help.
    It is a bit time consuming so I'll probably stick with dvd shrink If it only needs a bit of compression,( or if I don't care as much about quality like backing up a movie for my kids to get there fingerprints all over!)
    But rebuilder will be greak for longer movies!!

    DVD-RB is awesome for those discs packed full of stuff, like tv show box sets.
