Conversion from RMVB still does not work

OK, installed new version of ffmpegX. Installed new binaries. Renamed my hard drive not to have spaces in the name (!). Tried to install new reallib files, but when playing the .rmvb I want to convert, I GET NO SOUND. Therefore use the older, "stable" version of the reallib files. This time, .rmvb file plays with no problems if I hit the Play button after dropping into source location on front panel of ffmpegX.

ffmpegX by default now correctly picks mencoder in the right video format (640x480, 24 fps). The selected format is AVI DivX. Did not change ANY options from default settings. Hit Encode.
Reproduced here is the start of the log: A LOT of error messages, then many "Skipping frame!" entries.

I REALLY, REALLY would like this to work....

OK, I have to retract.

It works. I was put off by the too many error messages. An AVI file was in fact generated, and it looks OK.
It takes about two hourse for a 1h video, and the size doubles from ~350 MB to ~700 MB. I will experiment with other formats.

Those error messages are extremely misleading.

These messages are printed because mencoder tries lots of decoders until one which works is found, and then encoding starts.
