Whenever I try to convert anything into anything on WinAVI, an alert comes up stating:

"Access violation at address 7C901010 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Read of address 00000034."

What do I do to fix this?

    If in doubt, Google it.

If you are getting that error, 'Access violation at address 7C901010 in module 'ntdll.dll', you have a serious problem. That's a OS program that is giving the error. I would reinstall the WinAVI program. I would agree with jimmalenko, sounds like a corrupt file.

I'm not a fan of WinAVI. Maybe try a different program.

If your final product is DVD, use a standalone encoder for best results. TMPGEnc encoder is what I use. For quick and easy, DivxToDVD is OK. Less quality, but alright for most net AVIs. There is still a freeware version available.

If you have any doubts about the AVI file, run it through Gspot or AVIcodec and see what the audio/video format is. MP3 VBR audio and sometimes AC3 audio can cause problems.
