  1. a couple of questions:
-When I rip a dvd, using dvd decrypter, I get several files: video TS.BUP, VIDEO ts.ifo in the ripped folder. ts.vob, bup., vts.o1.ifo and so on.
Is there ONE file I can open in avi.net that is the whole movie??which one if so.
-Is there a way in avi.net to increase the resolution to best possible???

    TY

You can set file-splitting to "None" in DVD Decrypter under Tools > Settings > IFO Mode, and this will create one big VOB file that is your main movie (provided you rip the main movie in IFO Mode of course).
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. Excellent, thanks. What's the diff between ISO and IFO?? I've been reading DOOM9.net but alas, it's still DVD greek.
Does it make a diff in the end product to rip in IFO vs IFO?

The only time I use ISO mode is when I'm doing DVD Backups ... to DVD - If < 4.37GB then happy daze and you can just burn the ISO with your favorite burning software. If > 4.37GB then DVDShrink can read ISOs.

An ISO is a disc image, and most softwares cannot read ISO images directly bar burning softwares, so you would use this for a quick n dirty rip and burn.

As soon as you want to do any manipulation on the files (such as editing, on conversion to another format), you're probably better off using IFO or File mode to get to the files themselves IMHO.

Simplified explanation but it's as much as you need to know at this point.
    If in doubt, Google it.
