FXhome.com is releasing a their new polished versions of their software (EffectsLab DV and CompositeLab DV). But along with it, they are releasing "Pro" editions of both of their programs, that support HD and some advanced effects (EffectsLab Pro and CompositeLab Pro). These are the transformations of AlamDV and Chromanator respectively.

Plus they're releasing a full-featured Professional visual effects program called VisionLab HD that combines all the capabilites of both "Pro" programs into one. It has even more advanced effects and features, and has a completely open, professional liscence. This means that you don't have to credit FXhome in your movie if you used their software (which you do have to do under the liscense of their other programs).

All should be available before Christmas. And for those who already own their software, upgrade prices are specially discounted until the end of the year.

All the info can be found here: http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21307 as their website has not yet been updated to reflect all this new stuff.

Personally I'm not sure how I feel about the new VisionLab, but I'm excited about EffectsLab Pro, since it's within my price range and the amount of time I'm willing to invest to learn how to use a program to do effects.
