    I have been coverting avi files using Virtual Dub Mod and Tmpgenc plus, then authoring them a DVD using Tmpgenc DVD Author. However all the movies i have tried to make so far end up skipping and or freezing after an hour or more into it. Any suggestion on why this might be occuring?

    sounds like crappy dvd media. try difffffffffffffffffffffffferent media.
