Can't View Video on Nero

I m a complete newbie and have searched everywhere i know for the answer. The problem is that when trying to view video's (mpeg, avi, vcd's) the picture is distorted and is pink and green and yellows. There is sound thou. All the video's clips work perfectly through wmp and real player. I think i ve got the correct codec otherwise it wouldn't work on wmp ext? Would it?. Please could anyone spread some light on this matter?. ps one more question. Even though the picture is distorted on nero, if i used nero to burn a dvd would it still be distorted on my dvd player?.

Probably, Yes. You could always just burn to DVD-RW and see.
