  2. Well, if you really read everything on this site you would know why a 2 hour movie does not fit on a (S)VCD.

Well, I am *FAR* from being an expert, but this works for me:

    (1) Use SmartRipper to rip the .vob's
    (2) Use DVD2AVI to get the video
(Dont use this to make a .wav)
    (3) Use VOB2AUDIO to get the sound
(I think this gives me better quality sound than DVD2AVI)
    (4) Use TMPEGnc to mix the .d2v & .wav files using the template's included with TMPEGnc. (ie VCD or SVCD for NTSC)
    (5) Use the bitrate calc to determine the bitrate for the movie I am encoding to 2 CD-R's.
    (6) After TMPEGnc finishes the file (10 Hours) I split the file in half using TMPEGnc's file splitter. Repeating about 1 minute of the first disk on the second disk.
    (7) Burn with NERO settings on SVCD (standard compliance OFF)

    ---

Now I am trying to get fancy, and add the THX clip to the start of my SVCD's, and after that I want a menu to come up, with a selection to play whole movie, or goto chapters. And I wanna add a "Please Flip Disk" to the end of the first disk.

Hope this helps you, if not, look to the left and READ EVERYTHING again. Thats how I finally figured it out. I have made my share of "coasters" learning this.

[EDIT: Forgot to add the part about splitting the MPEG]
