  1. Hi all, here's the deal...I captured 14 different video clips with iMovie HD, now I captured each one separately and saved them under different file names. I now want to import all the clips into the timeline so I can then export them to iDVD with the "Play All" and "Scene Selection" buttons. But every time I try to do that, I get an error saying that Quicktime cannot parse the file, and then an Error -43. Is it possible for me to import these clips into iMovie HD? I would think I should be able to, but I keep getting this Parse File Error.

The reason I captured it this way was because I wanted to use the 12 drop zones menu in iDVD, and if I capture one big file then I can't...so can anybody out there help me? Thanks in advance!

  2. How are you importing the clips? By choosing the iMovie project package in File/Import? IMO it would be logical for that to work but it doesn't.

With iMovie HD you have some options to do that -- a) is preferred but it copies all underlying media clips in their unedited form behind the scenes:

    a) In project 1, select the desired clips, Edit/Copy, open project 2 and choose Edit/Paste, and wait a while.

    b) In project 1, export as Full Quality DV, and import THAT to project 2 (notice that the .dv import doesn't have a progress bar so be patient when importing a multi-GB .dv file!). Or use this shortcut:

    c) Copy the /Cache/Timeline Movie.mov out of the project package and import it to the other project.
