    recently, .MPA just stopped playing on my machine...within in Winamp, Windows Media Player...even Womble MPG2VCR will play the video but no audio. funny thing is, i can run any .MPA file through AVS Audio Converter and convert it out to a .WAV file and it's fine.

    anyone have any ideas as to what's going on?

    i'm running XP w/ SP2 and all the critical updates and about the only thing i installed recently was MainConcept H.264 v2 and re-installed WinDVD 7.
