  1. This is a very helpful site. I read several guides and as a newbie ALMOST made it all the way in converting my SWF file to a DVD. I am failing in step 3 below, since the sound, which is great in the wav file created in step 2, is very distorted once I get to step 3 and play my VOB file in PowerDVD or from an actual DVD.
Any tips? Should I use something other than IfoEdit to do this last step?

    1. I used MagicSWf2Avi to get an AVI file
    2. I used TMPGEnc to convert this to m2v and wav files
    3. I used IfoEdit to get a directory of DVD format files (VOB, IFO etc)

There's other freeware authoring softwares out there - dvdauthorgui, gui for dvdauthor .... or you could try TMPGEnc DVD Author (30 day fully functional free trial).
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. Sorry for the double post.

Thanks for the tip on alternate authoring programs. I tried the trial of TMP DVD Author, but it gives the same problem -- the sound in the VOB file seems to get interrupted with a short silence of perhaps 1/10th of a second -- and this keeps happening every second or so.

Seemed like some kind of sampling problem to me, so I downloaded the SmartAudioConverter software and converted my WAV to a MP2 that was at 48000 frequency, but still the same result.

    Any other suggestions?
