hi,
im new to video editing,my first experience was with a dv camera filming my sisterinlaws wedding, and using vegas to edit and render it,i was quite happy with the result.
ive now got a couple of downloaded avi files which are about 600mb each, ive used vegas again to edit them together but when i render to a dv fullscreen avi file, its gonna end up being about 20gig in total!.
i dont undersatnd how my camera footage can be smaller than these avi files.
any suggestions for settings for a smaller final file, but keeping the quality,i want to author with dvd architect.
thanx in advance.
jonx

20GB of DV format is just less than 90 minutes. A MiniDV tape holds 13.5GB.
