Heres the situation, when xp boots it goes to the screen when you can choose safe mode and other options. No matter what selection you pick it keeps resetting. Tried to re-install xp but when you choose any options and goes to the eula screen and press f8, get a blue screen with error 0x0000050 and stops. No option works repair or asr. Plz Help.

    Thanx All.

It sounds more like a hardware failure than software.

But try this: Can you get into BIOS? You could reset the BIOS. Either move the jumper or pull the BIOS battery (With the computer unplugged) for a few minutes, then replace it. You might want to record your BIOS settings if they are not at default.

Then: Check all internal connectors. (With the box unplugged) Especially the memory chips. If nothing, then I would unplug all drives except the boot and all cards except the video card and try again.

If you can pull your RAM memory and substitute, that would eliminate it as a problem.

Unfortunately, it's usually a process of elimination to determine the cause.

It's most likely failing RAM. Try booting with just one module at a time. If you find all three work, try replacing the video adapter if it's AGP. Since the CPU can access the AGP card directly, the RAM on the graphics card may be bad.
