using 2.0, had to do a full reinstall after my HD crashed, now when i convert i get sound but no video, checked the settings all seems fine, plenty of space, any ideas?

Can you post your log of such a run?
SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
