  1. Hello Everyone.

I've been having a problem playing Divx encoded files ever since I moved to Windows XP Pro. It doesn't matter what software player I'm using, The Video always plays back in extreme slow motion. The Audio playback is normal but as you can imagine, Way ahead of the video.
Two days ago I thought I would do a clean install. I installed Windows Media Player 9 (Didn't want to but I can't play WMVs without it). I then installed Divx 6.0.3, Xvid 1.0.2 and WinDVD 7.0. I don't use Codec packs. In WMP9, WinDVD and Media Player Classic - I got the same slow motion playback effect on all Divx video files. I can only seem to play them in VLC which I know (Read:Think) uses it's own filters for playback.
So is this a Codec conflict? Does anyone have any clue as to where I should start tackling this problem? The files I'm trying to play used to work fine in any player and are not all the that big (Between 100-150 MB). Would it be best to use ffdshow ??

Any insight into what is happening would be appreciated.

    Using:
    - Divx Create Bundle 6.0.3
    - Xvid 1.0.2
    - WinDVD 7.0
    - DirectX 9.0c
    - Most Divx Files are identified in Gspot as being Div3 low motion or Div50 and the audio is always MP3.

I don't recognize that. Is that your problem there???

Also have you tried making a mpg from them? Try converting them to vcd or dvd level mpg using a program like tmpgenc. If you still can't get them to play properly than perhaps there just corrupted or improperly encoded.

What about divx files you create yourself? Have you made any divx files and still had this problem?
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
