if someone buys something on Ebay, how long is it before you must send them an invoice?
a guy bought something of a mate on a Sunday but my mate never sent the invoice until Friday seeing as it was the first thing he'd sold. By that time the guy had already left negative feedback and now refuses to pay. My mate isn't bothered but he will still be charged for the listing fees

File "Non Paying bidder" and he can get his Final Value fee back,Also I find many People Pay after doing this.
Ebay says (I think ) you have 7 days to send the item"After Payment". -
I saw the 7 day thing but this guy isn't going to pay
a message was sent to the guy saying sorry for the delay due to unforseen circumstances. He replied saying he's not paying as he's bought one elsewhere
I looked at the file report option and it just sends him a reminder but what's the point of that if he's not going to pay. Ebay sucks when you want to report something!
next time I won't recommend my mates to join and sell stuff on Ebay -
If they have 3 (non paying bidder) reports filed against them they will be suspended.

it's only a few £'s and it was fun messing around with the pics but it's been reported now so let's see what Ebay do, if anything at all

Where did you see 7 days???
eBay says a seller must contact the buyer within three business days.
http://pages.ebay.com/help/newtoebay/questions/sell-item.html
When your listing ends, contact your winning buyer through email or by generating an eBay invoice within three business days. Let your buyer know the total price of the item, including your stated shipping costs, and how they can pay you. Offering PayPal allows your buyer to pay you quickly and easily.

thanks for the clarification of the 3 day thing as now I know where he stands
. The 7 day thing came from reporting something unpaid to ebay by following the maze of links but that's obviously not relevant
Some disputes can be reported immediately after the item closes, but most require a 7 day waiting period. You cannot report a dispute if more than 45 days have elapsed.but I wouldn't say he gives it a bad reputation at all seeing as it was his first sale and was a complete newbie and had his reasons for not sending an invoice in time
ebay already has a 'bad' reputation as they let shit like obvious illegal mp3's/movies selling go ahead without batting an eyelid. Another Ebay gripe thread

and don't tell me everyone knows everything about every policy/rule there is out there and not just Ebay. All this policy/rule bullshit is crap and I remember having this discussion with my bank just because I hadn't fully read their policy down to the last detail
. I asked the customer service if they knew every law regarding say driving and soon baffled them with a few simple offences. I told them now you know what it's like trying to fully understand all the policies/rules and how difficult it is. I soon got what I wanted due to the fact it was a genuine misunderstanding and it's impossible to know every policy/rule regarding everything
