  1. Hi

I need to take a mov movie, from my mac, and convert it for use on a pc. I need a codec that fairly old media players will handle, the file is for use in a powerpoint presentation, and I can not ask users to upgrade to quicktime og media player. From what I understand mpeg1 is the one best for such a purpose. But when I do the conversation it plays fine on my mac, in quicktime, but I get missing frames when I play the mpeg file in media player on my pc.

So what am I to do? What bitrate, number of frames, and so forth.

    Thanks for any help.

Maybe your bitrate is too high, maybe your frame size is too big. Try staying with VCD specs.

  3. I have treid a lot of different settings, also I have treid to make the mov files with different codecs fra quiktime pro. Is there not a place were one can look up what settings are the right ones for media player?

Or perhaps one can get a mpeg1 plugin for quicktime pro? If that would do the trick.
