    avi to dvd audio question?

    hello ive got an avi file with ac3 audio when i go to the dvdffmpeg quick presets it sets the audio to mp2 stereo 224kbs, is this correct as the avi file is ac3 5.1 384kbs, i thought this was a bit weird....

    another issue i have is with another avi when converting to dvd the audio sync is out, ive tried various conversion methods, it plays fine in VLC but the audio IS out of sync when i play it with quicktime is this where the issue lays... ive encoding it with both dvdvffmpeg and mencoder with the same results, the framerate is ntsc film which i have kept the same ..... any help would be apprieciated ..... cheers Mark.

    Try changing Audio Codec to Passthrough.

    The mpeg2enc encoder allows for a sound sync offset, in Options.
