    Which format would be best to use for a widescreen movie? VCD or SVCD? Why would whichever one be the better to use? Thanx.....I'm a newb at this whole vcd/svcd stuff.

    The better format would be what you prefer, i've got plenty of movies in Wide Screen in VCD format, and i'm very satisifed with the quality, others would tell you it's the worst thing they ever saw, so all in all, it all comes down to your own choice.
