I use a Mac G4 dual 1.25gz. How can I take a 90 second except from a DVD and turn it into a quicktime file that can be made part of a Powerpoint presentation?

rip the dvd to HD using MTR
Process the non encrypted MTR output to MPEGStreamClip
in MPEGStreamClip, edit and save your clip out as a QT movie.
Import into PowerPoint."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

Ant, what about Dummy Vobs?
If he gets a warning about " This DVD was padded with Dummy Vobs"
shouldn't he/she HAVE to rip the whole movie at that point just
to be sure....
hate to have ripped the chapter, only to find a dummy vob
was set in the middle of it, and then you couldn't have the
whole chapter without some creative stitching...right?"Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

No. Actual video content is never encoded into a dummy vob.
