    Hi allen074,

I've needed to do this in the past and couldn't find how to do it - can you share your new found knowledge?

    Cheers...

Definitely funny (and sad) that people come asking for help and are then too lazy or stupid to help someone else.

Even funnier- I did a quick search on this forum for 'merge iso' and didn't find the answer. So I tried the same phrase on google- it comes up with 2.2 million hits. I only looked at the hits on the first page- not involved DVDs. No doubt if someone searches all 2.2 million they're find some help.

One correct answer is to open all 4 iso's with DVDshrink and use the reauthor option to combine and shrink them at the same time.

Another is to mount the iso's (Dameon tools is free), then open the virtual disk with something that will let you extract the mpegs and combine them (TDA works).

  7. ok here is what i did

    iso buster on each one

dvd author on 2 at a time (it wouldnt do all 4)

dvd shrink on each new 2x dvd

then merge the 2 new dvds together

then dvd shrink the new 1 dvd to fit on a 8.5

    there ya go

and btw im not lazy or stupid

You could also open each ISO as a seperate virtual disk using deamon tools, and merge from there.

    Thanks all for the tips.

It's at this point that I duck to avoid the objects being hurled at me, as I say that the ISO in question was generated by GPS software and it (the ISO file) contained data on a region of a map.

Due to software restrictions, the files were limited to a certain size and could only upload 4 to the GPS unit (going waaaaaay off-topic here maybe).

I wanted to find a way to combine these ISO's.

@ gunslinger - Would daemon tools work on these?

    My guess:

    1. Rip to file mode with Daemon
    2. Use DVD Remake Pro
    3. Use DL media.

daemon tools opens disk images so the OS thinks they are live, physical disk drives. Assuming the ISO in question is in fact a disk image, and not just a purloined extension, there is no reason to think daemon tools wouldn't open it.

Thanks guns1inger - I'll try daemon tools, though I suspect that the ISO extension may be a "purloined" one. Good word by the way...

As in TMPGEnc DVD Author ? It should have done all 4. At the very least you should have been able to ignore the oversize warning.

You can replace all that with DVDRemake Pro > Merge Discs. You can merge up to 4 at a time, keeping all menus, subs etc etc and it creates a top-level menu that has a link to each ISO's main menu. You can even replace the top-level menu should you so wish.
    If in doubt, Google it.
