Looking for a Mac player to play movie from HD ripped to Video_TS folder.
Usualy I just use regular DVD player and it works fine. VLC player aslo does the job.
This time however I have original French movie for which I downloaded English subtitles; I got them in two formats:
*.srt (subrip),
*.sub (microDVD),
Which player will let me load movie from DVD or Video_TS folder and at same time load .srt or .sub subtitles to play together.
For Windows I can use Media Player Classis, but now I need something like this for Mac (tiger)
Please help.

If all you want to do is watch the video (with the subtitles), then ffmpegX will let you do this. Use the "Preview" button after you add the .srt file. (The docs explain this.)
If you encode as Xvid, you can actually embed the subs into the video. One very nice thing about ffmpegX is that you can change the size and font of the subtitles (for the Preview and for the encoding).
