    Thanks junkmalle

I appreciate the link and the comments.

Hmmm.... Maybe I'll have to reconsider if I want to have this hdtv substitute my wintv pvr250. Sounds like the fusion series isn't the hottest analoge recorder.

There's no analog based HDTV except in Japan. If you are looking for one card to do everything HD and SD, better wait and do your research. Everything has tradeoff.

You need to focus your objectives to over the air DTV reception, probing cable for open QAM encoded channels or playing DX with DVB. Add to that analog over the air, analog cable and analog S-Video capture.

    Thanks eddv.

I figured I'll just get the fusion 3 and keep my wintv pvr250. I can get a usb fax/modem (to swap out my current pci modem- I only have 3 pci slots and they're all full) dirt cheap on ebay if the analog input recording isn't redhot on the fusion 3. I know my wintv works beautifully.

Thanks again for all the help. I think I finally settled on a card! (now for harrddrive shopping ).

I bought the fusion hdtv 3 gold T capture card last week and got it last night

It looks great I LOVE HDTV!!!! I haven't even listened to anything in 5.1 yet but the picture looks great.

I'm having a little trouble capturing analog video through the input with the included software. BUT virtualdub works!!! I just need to fool around with the settings.

    Thanks for all the help.
