I have directv receiver in stereo cabinet with 5" b/w tv. Would like to just view tv on computer that is on top steroeo cabinet. I just listen to music channels I do not really want to watch programs. I just want to see the channel I am on and perhaps the artist info diectv shows. What do I need to do this. The directv receiver has yellow video out and coax out. Computer has no pci left but does have usb. TV usb should do it but can I get away with something like the dazzle 80. I do not want to capture video or sound but I want cheapest solution. DVC 80 seems cheaper than tv usb and smaller.

The dazzle will work for live TV well enough.
There are other devices that turn a computer monitor into a TV, without having to get a capture card though...maybe that's more like what you want.Cheers, Jim

The dazzle would work fine for that purpose. I had a dazzle and it is absolutely terrible for capturing or editing, but I think just watching like that should be fine, although I'm not sure if it will let you go fullscreen or have sound preview, I know my DVC 150 had issues with that
