  1. hi is there a way i can make screen captures from a video, like WMV or RM video files?? any programs recommended?

i tried using the keys print screen and sysRq on my keyboard, but that did not capture the video area of the screen (video area had a black screen), just everything around it.

    thanks

For wmv,rm use for example media player classic, file->Save Image. Install real alternative to play rm with media player classic.

Are you wanting to capture the whole streaming video? You used the term screen capture, which is just like a snapshot. What is it you are wanting to do?

Won't work in most case as video is an overlay though you can cancell that ion some players. If not you may simply grab a black / blank frame. Most video playback tools, specially the DVD ones have a frame capture capabilities.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

... or turn off overlays in said player. Then prntscrn should work.
    If in doubt, Google it.
