I bought an EPSON STYLUS CX3810 (a color inkjet with a scanner built-in) at STAPLES about a month and a half ago. It was approximately $89.99 with a $20.00 rebate. I did the rebate on-line (so simple to do) and it came in the mail about 3 days ago. All in all it was 1 1/2 months tops maybe even closer to just over 1 month.

I hate rebates but when they told me you could do it on-line ... I was like sweet!

On another forum I read someone tested the media and it was so bad, it was no worth the 5cents per disc.

Some are using as as +RW media (ie transfer and throw away). I bought two packs (one +, one -) since the rebates where limit one per type, though no easy rebate for them.

I think they are going back - Was able to get from the online sale a couple of 30 packs of Imation 8x for $1.75 after rebate...

I couldn't get reliability at 8x. 6x seems to work but I don't trust the Playo +R for other than time shifting HD DTV clips. ~30min per DVDR.

The Imations from Staples seem to work OK at 8x.

I picked up 2 of each +/-R's at staples. Made in China. Media Code on the +r's AML002. I have burnt 11 +r's with a mix of video and data. Burns at 8x and reads back just fine. I guess I'm giving the two -r's as gifts to people with slower burners. I was going to keep one of them and give away one each as gifts.
