  1. Hi,

I want to make a dvd which contains music videos, bonus and a picture gallery like on commercial dvd's

I've put all my video clips in VTS_01.
    The bonus are in VTS_02.

Now, How can I make the picture gallery (with a previous and next button on each) with TmpgDvdAuthor ?

    Thanks.

I don't know how you'd do it with TDA but I know you'd be able to do it with DVDLab

I guess I'd just create multiple menu's linking each one to the next using the navigation buttons on the menu. I don't know if you can do it in TDA or DVDL but you should also be able to put a timer on the menu somehow

I'm sure someone will give some better advice if I'm talking crap

Dvdlab has a slide show component that lets you add audio and control the exact timing of how long each picture stays up. I'm not sure if TDA has a similar feature. I'm not familiar with TDA at all. If you do decide to use dvdlab I can answer your questions regarding the setup.

If you want a previous and next function, the simplest way to do it is as a series of menu pages. Just use your image as the backdrop, and either create obvious buttons, or hidden buttons that automatically activate when highlighted. Pretty much as MackemX has described, and yes, this can be done in TDA. I don't know if TDA allows for a timeout on a menu though. Because it hides much of the intricacy of the authoring process away, some features like this either aren't there, or aren't obvious at first glance. DLP can certainly do this, but you will find your first few disks take a lot longer to produce while you get your head around's workflow.
