If you change the video and audio bitrate can you get any output file size that you want. In virtualdub can you for example use divx and mp3, under video->compression select divx or xvid (if you can't see them install the divx codec or the xvid codec) and just lower video bitrate under the configuration.

You can also try use Windows Media Encoder and convert to WMV.

waste of time. i installed divx codecs and copressed the clip with it but it gives me a size from 39 mb to 22 mb with 5 min O_o how ever i lowed the butrate to the lowest limit and slowed the copression to give me the best copression O_o i tried many time but nothing worked.
btw when i saw the properties of the produced clip it showed me diffrent properties than the one i showed u above.

i wanna know how is that person made a clip 13 min with 5 mb only O_o.how ever he used the same program to clip.????????

A codec like Techsmith will do a much better job than XviD or DivX for typical screen capture stuff.

XviD should do a better job than DivX though since it can use n-vop's to encode less frames, which I don't think DivX can do.

According to http://www.fourcc.org , the clip in your pic above used the Techsmith Screen Capture Codec (click here), which allegedly is the "codec used by the Camtasia Screen "camcorder" application".

As Baldrick said, it really all comes down to bitrate.
    If in doubt, Google it.

It's "useless" and a "waste of time", because you don't seem to know the basics, and what you are doing. Like previously stated, by setting the bitrate for the audio and video codecs you decide to use, you're able to arrive at any file size.
But in all honesty, the bitrates of the clip you have, are so low that I doubt you'll be able to lower it any further without seriously making it unwatchable.

Read the Camtasia Studio help or manual about how to set bitrates and use same values as the in the screenshot
