I tried version 7.0 of Mandrake. The link you provided shows screen shots of the basic package, right? I only spent a grand total of twentyseconds checking it out. Boring, so you'll have to help me out if there was more there. Looks like a Windows knock-off interface.

I know you're rather slow on the uptake d4n13l, I was referring to secondary software with my klutzy remark. The fact is most people that write for the LINUX platform create bland uninspiring applications with few bells and whistles. Who can blame them? Most Linux software is free. Probably becase they couldn't do anything BUT give it away. You really prefer StarOffice over Microsoft's Word? ROTFLMAO! Like I said before GIMP is good, but that's the exception. Most Linus applications I've tried are no better than the Windows counterpart and many are far worse.

You'll also note the GUI for LINUX is very similar to Windows which is very similar to Mac's. Your point?

Your problem, and it is a common one for Linux lunies and Mac manics is they got the silly notion in their heads that their preferred platform is superior. The best barameter of what is really superior is what the majority of people use and continue to buy upgrades for. That would be Windows.

If Linux, or Macs (substitute whatever OS you want) was even a fraction as good you their supports claim, then kindly explain why they haven't been able to gain market share having been around in the case of Mac's for longer than Windows has? The Redmond, Wash.-based software giant filed a motion with the U.S. Court for the Western District of Washington against Lindows, which is developing a version of the Linux operating system that will run popular applications written for Microsoft's Windows OS.

Microsoft contends the company, which plans to formally release its product next year, purposely is trying to confuse Lindows with Windows. The suit asks the court to order the start-up to stop using the Lindows name and also seeks unspecified monetary damages.

Computer Technician / Network Managment (OS/2,NT4,2000/XP)
Troubleshooting for Hardware and Software
Computer Hardware Advisor for Networks
Computer Software Installations, Repair
Helpdesk (Levels 1/2/3)

and in my two years (16 to 18 ) working in a store:
Computer Salesperson and Advisor and Running the whole store
Software Setup and Helpdesk (Level 1/2/3)

And that's just the basics, I didn't want to give everything at once, you need time to make fun of all that

So basicly your job was to keep any income from the company, i'll bet that's why they fired your lame ass, propably ruined alot of good business for them

I use a Tiny Personal Firewall with Windows ME(MS's biggest piece of crap ever released.)

If u wanna diss Microsoft for something, diss them for pulling Windows Me out of their ass.

Windows Me doesn't even have a DOS core. I dunno what it has in it, but it sure is crashy.

I downloaded Me2DOS and now crashes are happening less often.

Me is slow to, I have a 866MHZ Pentium 3. It should not take 2 minutes to open My Computer.

I will be upgrading to XP Home edition.


I can't wait to caputre DV files that are 12 gigabytes in size.

And their's only one thing I know of that ME supports that 98SE doesn't.
