Burning problems with nero 6 express and sony DRU 710A burne

I am having difficulty copying non-copywritten dvd. Here is the problem: After the image is copied it will not burn on dvd-. The program will show that 1% is burned to disc and then a red ball with a white "X" appears saying burn process aborted or something like that. This will go on for 3-5 times and then the program will work again (after I have wasted several discs). I did remove all other burning software from my computer and I do not run any other programs in the background. I downloaded the problems fingerprints and sent to nero who sent me an email with a lind to upgrade software and clean my registery, both of which I have done. Still having the problem. Maybe you simply have problem with your 710A? maybe its faulty?
