    Ok let me start,

I'm getting an AC3 error when I try to output my converted AVI into VoB's from Tmpgenc DVD author.

These are the steps I have taken:

First convert AVI into VOb's with Imtoo Mpeg encoder
Then use Tmpgenc DVD author to output the Vob.s

Then I get an error? I have done this before Flawlessly with out the error. I have no idea what is going on?

    Can someone help me?

    TIA

It would really help to know which error you are getting.
Anyway you may want to fix the audio using ac3fixgui.

    Regards.

Why is it, people all of a sudden insist on feeding VOBs into authoring apps? VOBs is what an authoring app creates!
Back to the problem at hand - How was the AC3 created?

    All of a sudden
I have been doing it for a looooong time 8)
Like when you have a video/movie only, already in vob's and want to make menu's, and load them into TDA

    @ Ttex
If you are just converting .avi's to vob's, is the original avi audio dvd compliant before or after converting them ?

converting into vobs is a waste of time, as TDA will just have to demux the audio and video out before creating it's own vobs. Just output either a program stream (.mpg file with both video and audio in it) or elementary streams (a seperate file for video and audio).

How did you create the AC3 audio file ?
Or did it come with the avi ?

The audio and video are included in one file that can be played on WinMedia player. Tmpegenc DVD author does not read AVI. So I use Imtoo encoder to change into MPG.

    Thanks

Well you're batting about a thousand so far
Actually, you should be demuxing it, converting it in somthing like TMPGEnc for the video, audio blah blah blah... but instead of answering Q's you just seem to have a case of the giggles

To get off on the right foot, I suggest you look under CONVERT left for AVI to DVD guides.
Basically, if you have an AVI with AC3 audio, you start with demuxing the AC3 stream (and run it thru ac3fix), then encode AVI to DVD specs m2v video only, then author AC3 + m2v.
