  1. first, what does region free mean?

    ok, i wanna play my computer files on my tv, i understand the hookup to the computer, but for a tv with just a coax, what do i do? can i use my vcr? arg. plz help

  2. Region Free means that you can play DVD's from any country you bought it from.

    You will need a TV card or a Display Card with TV-Out, you can connect it to either your TV directly or to your VCR, and play

  3. on the back of the vcd, is there a video in with just one hole instead of the daul rca's, same with sound?

  4. On the back, you should have one RCA for the Video In, and for the Audio, you will need a Dual RCA to Jack cable, the kind that used to come with the old Sound Blaster (2.0/Pro/16/AWE) cards.

  5. 3 options...

    #1 you can make vcd's and get a dvd player (make sure it plays cdr's)

    #2 get a video card with a TV out and use that and the line out on the sound card to connect to a vcr (requires a vcr with 3 rca jack input or audio input and s-video input)

    #3 get a scan converter (generally better than tv out on the video card) and connect the same way you would with a tv out on the video card.

    some searches on this forum can offer lots of advice on any of the above methods.
