ill get one when the price drops.........a lot.
over here in the uk,there charging £70 for a 20gig hard drive for it,there having a f*cking laugh.
couple that with the shit launch games, not that much before xmas,an xbox +5 games is only £99,the psp,ds,and pretty much a shitload of better electronic gubbins to purchase, makes it a low priority.
0 day purchases arent my bag any more,as 1st gen models usually have a lot of flaws.
this so called "next gen" has come to quickly, plenty of xbox games to get before its dead and the 360 is needed.
also,i dont fancy my huge 20gig hard drive being filled to the brim with emulation code to enable me to play some old games.
with 2006 possibly being the year of hd-dvd,blu-ray,etc,and the 360 stuck with a dvd drive,i reckon most will take the ps3(if it appears) as a first choice.
and i wonder if it will be the next DC..who knows..
let the price drop begin..........

Noahtuck...
wow that is old. you know if you wanted to cheat you could have just pointed the gun at a light bulb and fired..you would have gotten a hit every time. This flaw was corrected, however, by the time the NES came around as the zapper had to detect not only the right color (when you pulled the trigger and the screen flashed black and white) but also the changing of the color....
I have a pretty beefy computer and it is capable of playing most of the latest games..but i keep going back to the old nintendo games..there are few games as of late that I've really been able to get into... -

Ya know, i still love the old games, i still have a snes hoooked up along side the DC & PS2 and have alot of games i love to play on it.
I also have a bunch of... what do they call them ?? the original "roms" or programs from the actual arcade machines from about 22+ years ago and an emulator to play them on my PC's, Zaxxon, Tron, a bunch of other cool ones, i'm gonna have to dig that out, been acouple of years since i messed with them 8) -

You can get a good deal for a Xbox at Ebay.
The best system that I ever had was the TurboGrafix 16 with CD player. It had CD games back around 1988 or 89. Way before anyone else. -
I've read the specs. I like what I saw - but I have found never to buy the leading edge of the purchase wave.
I still enjoy my original X-BoX that I bought earlier this year.
And also still play my Atari Jaguar.
Both plugged into my entertainment system, large screen surround sound.
Occasionaly I mess around with the PS2 in another room, and Gamecube.
(Remember what happened to the Gamecubes when they first came out? Just like now with this X-BOX 360.)Whatever doesn't kill me, merely ticks me off. (Never again a Sony consumer.) -
I heard these new XBOX 360 are hanging and crashing like crazy?
Does anyone know anything about it?
Regards -
Even in light of the Sony DRM ordeal, I'll still be sticking with them and waiting on the PS3.
I've heard that currently the x360 is crashing all over the place on a few games and xbox live + alot of their 'options' which cost extra will be included in the ps3's base price.

Its about the games...
I bought both my PSX and PS2 second hand at vastly discounted prices for the purpose of playing the Final Fantasy series.
Unless Square releases the next version of FF on the Xbox 360, it will not even be a contender.

Forget exactly where I read that, but the source also stated that Microsoft is really banking on the games carry'n the console and making up the profit for them.
As I said before, I'll wait for the PS3, but I did play the demo of Call of Duty 2 (x360) at Wal*Mart and whoa...it was very nice with smooth game play and excellent fx.
