  1. Sorry, I'm back. Can I buy the Media Center Edition, even if I don't have Windows XP Media Center Edition (Silly question but it is $14 cheaper on newegg).

  2. Yes, you'll then get FM radio, but no remote control, which you probably don't want/need with a laptop anyhow.
    Use the driver CD download from www.shspvr.com to install it. DO NOT use the drivers on the disk that comes with it.

  3. So I finally went and did it. I got the Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 and I'm using GBPVR and I'm loving it. I had a little bit of difficulty getting GBPVR set up, but now that it is, it's great.

    i was thinking about Plextor tv402, but than i saw that cannot use different software han the one they give u with the box and other problems as no standard divx compression and only 4:3 compression...
    do u know if with hauppauge box usb2 and pci card 250 and 350 u can use all software?

  7. You can use many different capture programs with the Hauppauge cards.
    GBPVR, Mediaportal, Gotallmedia, BeyondTV, Sage, etc...
