  1. Everytime I load "Media Center", I get the message...

"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert disk in drive"

When I try to close it, it simply pops up again. How do I stop this from happening other than keeping a disc in the DVD-ROM drive. In addition to the DVD-ROM drive I also have a DVD writer.

A solution to this problem would be appreciated. Help!

I'm guessing you have an HP branded Media Center? Does it have an application on it called "HP Image Zone"? Apparently that causes issues with the USB media card readers that are built-in. Disable the card readers and remove HP Image Zone, then re-enable the card readers and see if that works.

  5. Yes I do have an HP branded Media Center. I actually found out what was causing MC to access my DVD-ROM a few minutes ago while going through MCE's settings. In "More Program Options", under settings, I unchecked "Control the media experience in Media Center". This has solved my problem. I don't know how I had missed this. Anyways, thanks again for your help.
