I'll try to keep this brief. My youngest nephew is autistic, he plays kids games all the time, but doesn't understand that the disk are fragile.

Other then reburning the disc over and over is there a solution that can help?

NO CD Cracks are no good. These are little kids games and most of them dont have No CD cracks.

Also it has to be automatic, he's not going to understand something like "when you want to play THIS gameyou open this file then start the game"

You could use Daemon Tools. Essentially what would need to be done is that you not only need to install the game, but you'd need to make an ISO image for each game that you want for him. Load the images in Daemon and your PC then thinks it has every game you have a CD for. Make game shortcuts for him on the desktop and you are good to go.

  3. I agree with studtrooper on that. If you have a lot of games you may need to use a program that supports more image drives than Daemon. And of course you need plenty of HDD space for the images.

  4. Flaytus,
You can use CD-Images as mentioned above BUT they take up a lot of space. However, if you take a look at this site: [removed] The have 20k images for each game. Definitely saves a lot of space [YOU NEED THE ORIGINAL GAME FOR THOSE TO WORK]

You can download the image for each game and set the number of devices in Daemon TOols

PS: If the site is against forum regulations, I apologize

Please dont' suggest cracks. That relies on someone else to make the crack. WE are not talking about Quake 4 here, We are talking about kids games, many of which don't have no cd cracks anyway.

More images then Daemon? Didn't know there was a limit. I've only installed it once ever.

The main problem is even if DAemon supported enough images it does not auto load the correct image when needed does it?

  6. DaemonScript does. Well, you would create a script for each image. The shortcut will point to the script, and the script would:

    UNMOUNT any existing image
    MOUNT the desired image
DELAY to allow for it to load correctly.
    RUNAPP the needed program.

Snytax may not be correct above, but that's the general idea.

Daemon Tools Pro and alcohol 120% support more than 4 drives - or the script mentioned above works well ..

more 3rd party programs for this are here http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=ViewCategory&catid=7
