    Help........I have no luck to converted a DVD movie from friend send me oversea. It is compress in MPEG-2, picture in interlaced Pal DVD. I did try dvdSanta and it does it but the resolution is poor. Please, some one help me to keep the original resolution with NTSC system................................Thx.

    PAL to NTSC is not simple if you want good quality. I would try VSO DivxToDVD. It does a better job than 'Santa'. There is still a freeware version available.

    If that doesn't do it, study the guides. <<<<<<

  4. You can buy a region free DVD player that does PAL to NTSC conversion for ~$35. The results won't be perfect but watchable.

    I've been using ulead video studio 7 and 8 se's to do this type of conversion , so far , no problem's , pick them up in ebay for $35.00 au .

    You also get alot of bonus features in the package , so it's worth while in the long run , and relatively cheap .

    I have try to use DivxToDVD already and it dose a good jobs but the only problem is they can't converted the sound from 5.1 to 5.1. It only do from 5.1 to stereo. Does any of them can do the sound too..............................Thx.

    You can buy a region free DVD player that does PAL to NTSC conversion for ~$35. The results won't be perfect but watchable.
    They will be better than any software conversion
