  1. Hello all,
I have a winfast tv2000 xp rm...i think this card does not mpeg encode as
i look in the cpu task list and usage is over 80%. Can anyone clarify as i am new to this process? If so, what are my options with this type of card?
    winxp pro
    pent4 1.8Ghz
    512 Mb RDRAM

Secondly, i have copied a few tv shows in AVI....then i import into the timeline of ulead videostudio 9 and trim then render into mpeg2 (720x576 Pal). If my final burnt dvd quality is not the best, what other areas can i improve in this process?

sorry for asking such simplistic questions but my old head is still coming to terms with this technology!

    thanks for any replies
    fran

I don't think it does hardware mpeg2, so your cpu usage will be high.
For better quality encodes use higher bitrate and multipass. You might try some other encoder like tmpenc or HC.
