My Pioneer 106 frequently gets into a state where certain DVD-RW's are working just fine and then are suddenly unusable. I'm currently trying to erase a new Fuji DVD-RW, and the drive simply won't mount it so it can proceed to erase it. I get a message "Sense Key=MEDIUM ERROR, UNABLE TO RECOVER TABLE OF CONTENTS" I have a hard time believing the disk is worn out already. There are no scratches or marks. Besides throwing it away, what do you do when this happens?

Well, for one I would try to erase it on someone elses machine and see if the same error pops up. The same has happened to me and at the same time I have been able to write /erase a disc till it was so beatup I could not stand to look at it anymore. What software are you using to erase the disc? I don't think you mentioned it.
