I have an avi (divx) file and along with it came 3 subtitle files that have the extensions *.idx, *.ifo, and *.sub. There was also a program called DirectVobSub that plays the .avi with subtitles as long as the subtitle files and the movie file have the same name (except for the extension) and are in the same directory. I want to put these subtitles into the .avi file using VirtualDub so that I will have a single .avi file with subtitles. I have tried to convert the .sub file to a .srt file so that I can convert it to a .ssa file for use with VirtualDub but when I try to do so I usually get some kind of error message saying that the file is corrupt. Does anyone know of a way to use the 3 subtitle files that I have to put subtitles into the .avi file? Thanks in advance for any help.
