If you sepnd more time than that spinning your wheels then you have lost me. I liked X2, but didn't think much of the first one. I liked Spiderman 2 a lot more than 1. I didn't think much of Batman Returns (the Tim Burton film) mainly because it spent forever on the everyone other than Batman. After that the Batman films kinda lost me. Haven't seen Batman Begins yet but it is high on the list.

I actually liked the design in Hulk. I didn't think much of the story or the film itself, but ILM really seemed to get the character right.

My kids love Fantastic 4, but they are 6 and 8. The only good thing I can say about it is that it is slightly better than the never released Roger Corman version from the mid-90's. The writing was on the wall for this one when they reshot scenes because The Incredibles did it better.
But if you ignore the story in a comic book movie, even with what little is there in some, then you just have another vapid action movie.

Well you don't ignore it, you got it in the first one. The sequel just kicks in full blast with the benefit of the backstory, without having to spend time on it. I agree with guns1nger, all else being equal, I prefer the sequels in comic book movies since you don't have to sit through the backstory.

Like X-men...they couldn't have done it any better and its a fantastic movie, but there's soooo many characters that you have no choice but to jump around alot at first and just take it all in before getting into the real plot. X2 didn't have that problem and so it came off better I think.

I always thought the original Superman had too slow of a beginning, and the director's cut only makes it worse. Really, I find the entire movie tame and boring and the whole climatic ending just plain doesn't make sense (going back in time doesn't mean those events aren't still going to happen.) Superman 2 was much better in my opinion. We won't talk about III and IV.

Nick Cage was originally going to play Superman in "Superman Reborn". This movie was to be directed by Tim Burton using a screenplay written by Kevin Smith. If you look around, you can find the screenplay on the net.

Going back to an early post in the thread about the need to update the comics for modern days and not using yellow in Xmen.

Actually Cyclops made that remark to Wolverine in Xmen1. When they're going to Ellis Island to rescue Rogue Wolverine gripes "you actually go outside in these things?" and Cyclops responds "What would you prefer, yellow spandex??"
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

    Afternoon guys.

I think the movie will be great (when it finally air's in the
theaters) Anyways. And now for my problem..

fwiw mentioning here.. I D/L'ed the .mov file from link posted on
page 1, but I have not been able to play it. In my explorer, the
file ext shows up as a green .mov icon. I believe that to mean
that there is a codec association. Anyays. It won't play

So, I was wondering.. is there any other method to play or open in
vdub with ?? (I don't mind re-encoding it for the fun of it)

    Thanks for any suggestions
