  1. I want to take a large size MPEG-2 video recorded from TV and make it into a much smaller
    animated GIF. How would I do this? What tools would I need?

  4. Just a quick question. I see the File -> Save image sequence... in VirtualDub-MPEG 1.611,
    and I was able to export out as a sequence of TGA files. It loaded my MPEG-2 without problems.

    Does this program have to ability to do a batch frame resize of 704x480 to something
    smaller? Or does ImageReady have a batch resize option?

  5. Found it!

    Video -> Filters -> Add -> Resize

  6. Is there a way to automatically import like 100 TGAs as animation frames into ImageReady?

    It seems you have to add each frame by hand. If there's no way to add multiple images
    then ImageReady is not very good at all.

    file->import->folder as frames?
    http://www.heathrowe.com/tuts/importasframes.asp

    you can also import avi in imageready, so you could convert to avi with virtualdub-mpeg2...don't know what video codecs it supports though.

  8. Found it again! This option is kinda not-so-obvious. Had to dig through the help files:

    File -> Import -> Folder As Frames...

  10. Thanks, I missed your post by 1 second. All I have is one question and I'm done.
    The GIF created by ImageReady is too slow. Is there a way to speed it up?

    All frames are already set at (0 sec/No Delay).

  11. Well, I thought I could speed it up by deleting every other frame, but now, not only does it still
    look slow, it looks choppy as well.

    Maybe I have to go back to VirtualDub and speed it up there? 2x faster?
