How can I set my keyboard to be used as short cuts to get online. What I want to do use say the letter (V) as a short cut to get me to videohelp. Is there a way to do this?

  2. Yes. You can remap your keyboard or use macros. There are numerous software apps out there, just do a search. You will be better off using the function keys or a combo of shift +/ctrl +/alt +

...otherwise you can no longer type the letter "v" while running the macro

Right-click on your desktop, select New, Shortcut.

In the location, type the URL for videohelp (for example), press next and give it a name.

Right click on the new desktop shortcut, and select properties.

There is a place where you can enter a shortcut.

As offline said, you are better off using a combination of Shift, Alt, or Ctrl keys.

For example, on my work laptop I have a shortcut assigned to launch the VPN client. I simply press the Ctrl+Alt+V key combination and it launches the VPN client.
