I wonder if I can convert the whole DVD from NTCS to PAL and keep the chapters, subtitles and all in one go.

Is there an application that can do that? I tried ffmpeg and it looked as it could not

Fast reply appreciated as I have to finish tonight,, hehe

    Thanks

Mpeg2works 4 will do what you require, not sure how long it would take to convert a dvd.
Normally NTSC DVD's will work on European DVD players and TV's anyway.

I have Mpeg2works and did not find a way to convert the whole DVD with all the BUP and IFO files included.

  4. You can not covert the DVD without building the menus again.

    In Virtual PC:
I tried the "Patch" method with IFOedit ... did not work.
So I improvised this method with converting the IFO files (in V PC) and converted the VOB files with Mpeg2Works 4... put it all together .... no luck.

So for NTSC to PAL the PAL DVD players should play them fine and if want PAL to NTSC get a cheap DVD player from Walmart (Cyberhome) it will play the PAL dvds.

If you are set on converting it for fun then .....
use YADEX (you can see which are menus and which are movie files) to rip the segments into VOB's and convert with Mpeg2Works. If you use DVD Studio Pro you will have to convert the sound to AIFF then import and happy building.
