As I understand it, the date and time are encoded in the DV video itself. Which editors do you use to hardcode these information to the video (for burning to DVD, etc)? Also, which player can turn on the info when viewing the video? Thanks.

I don't know of any editors that easily display it or players that use it either. There are, however, a number of tools available to extract this information to either overlay it or create subtitles from it. Look in the DV section of the Tools area for a list

Thank you. DVdate does the job. However, the idea of subtitles as you mentioned seems more attractive. I'm trying to get it to work using DV_DateCode.
